Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, expresses deep sorrow and heartfelt condolences over the passing of His Royal Majesty, Oba Sikiru Kayode Adetona, the Awùjalẹ̀ and Paramount Ruler of Ijẹbuland.
Governor Radda describes the monarch’s demise as a monumental loss not only to the Ijẹbu Kingdom but to Nigeria as a whole, noting that Oba Adetona’s 64-year reign represented an era of exceptional leadership, wisdom, and dedication to the unity and development of our great nation.
“The passing of the revered Awùjalẹ̀ marks the end of an extraordinary chapter in Nigeria’s traditional institution. He was a towering figure who embodied the finest values of leadership, bridging the gap between tradition and modernity while fostering peace, progress, and prosperity in Ijẹbuland and beyond,” Governor Radda stated.
The Governor particularly extends his condolences to His Excellency Prince Dapo Abiodun, Executive Governor of Ogun State, the entire Government and people of Ogun State, the Ijẹbu Traditional Council, and the bereaved royal family during this difficult period.
Governor Radda prays that Almighty Allah grants the departed monarch eternal rest and gives the family, the Ijẹbu Kingdom, and the people of Ogun State the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss.
