Katsina to construct standard world stadium in Charanchi

Katsina State Government has concluded arrangements to build a world class mini Stadium in Charanchi Local Government Area.
The Commissioner of Sports and Youths Development, Aliyu Lawal Zakari Shargalle disclosed this while receiving the proposed site donated by the Charanchi local council.
The Commissioner received the land during the continuation of familiarization visit embarked by the ministry.
Shargalle noted that the measure is aimed at promoting sporting activities as well as creating enabling environment for young talented players in the area to participate fully in sports.
The Commissioner revealed that the stadium will be provided with running track for athletics and playing ground for volleyball, handball and basketball.
He reaffirmed the current administration’s commitment to doing all possible to encourage youths in the state to participate in various sporting activities and compete on a worldwide scale.
While visiting Dutsinma, Kankia, Mani, and Mashi township stadiums, the Commissioner assured that the facilities would be upgraded to meet the standards.
Shargalle also used the tour to encourage all sports enthusiasts in the areas visited to redouble their efforts by participating in various athletic activities for the overall growth of the state in that sector.
