The Kebbi State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, (APC), Abubakar Kana Zuru, said the party was sure of winning election in all the 21 local government areas of the State scheduled for 31 August.

He was speaking to newsmen in Birnin Kebbi preparatory to the flag-off of campaigns for the polls to hold in Koko-Besse Local Government Area.

He said Governor Nasir Idris had executed people-oriented projects across the State to facilitate seamless victory of the party next month.

The chairman who is the Ganuwar Zuru cited the provision of free fertilizer to farmers, palliatives to the people especially during festive periods, construction of five kilometres of roads in all LGs, and above all , the rapid transportation of the state capital from the status of a glorified local Government to a befitting modern city as undeniable reasons to catapult the party to victory.

The Chairman further stated that Governor Idris had worked tirelessly round the clock by ensuring that peace and tranquility returned to to areas with security challenges, adding that success had been achieved in that respect because farming and business activities were restored to the delight of the people.

Zuru disclosed that the process of fielding chairmanship, vice chairmanship and councillorship candidates for the polls was based on consensus, saying it was a decision arrived at after careful and thorough deliberations with all stakeholders as directed by the state Chief Executive to avoid rancor associated with primaries.

The Chairman said in spite of the existing unity amongst members of the party, a committee had been set up to pacify aspirants who lost out during the consensus exercise to give the party a solid base that would further facilitate victory at not only the local polls but during any contest APC would venture into in the future.

He therefore called on party faithfuls to turn out en mass and attended the flag-off ceremony scheduled for Saturday the 27 July to further demonstrate their support for the party and do same during the August 31st elections to seal total victory for APC and fizzle out any obstacles on the way.
