Kebbi CAN Chairman, Venerable Dr. Ayuba Kanta

The Kebbi State Chairman, Christian Association of Nigeria, (CAN), Venerable Dr. Ayuba Kanta, has cautioned Christians not to use the occasion of Christmas to commit immorality but rather reflect and demonstrate the love of God.
Dr. Kanta, stated this while speaking to newsmen in Birnin Kebbi on the occasion of Christmas.
The CAN Chairman, also called on the Christian faithful to use the season to pray for the peaceful coexistence of the country, stressing that the development of any society depends on the peace and togetherness of its people.
Reading from the book of Isaiah Chapter 9 verse 6, Venerable Kanta, said Christ has come to institutionalized peace, justice and fairness across board, pointing out that the coming of christ was an announcement of good news to the entire human race.
Dr. Kanta said it was the responsibility of leaders irrespective of their religious affliation to provide sustainable development in all sectors of the economy as well as ensure the security of lives and property of all Nigerians.
He said Nigerians were feeling the hardship being faced in the country and therefore called on leaders at all levels to be fair and just for Nigerians to leave a better life.
