Kebbi lawmakers charge office holders to follow Governor Idris developmental footsteps

Members of the Kebbi State House of Assembly have urged men and women at the helm of affairs to eschew the good virtues of Governor Nasir Idris by displaying exemplary leadership qualities.

At a plenary in Birnin Kebbi chaired by the Speaker, Mohammed Usman, a member representing Arewa Constituency, Nuruddeen Usman Kangiwa moved a motion to that effect.

Kangiwa noted that Governor Idris had in 100 days recorded commendable developmental strides in the areas of Infrastructure, education, agriculture, health and the fight against insecurity, particularly in the Southern part of the state, among others.

The lawmaker, therefore, urged the political office holders, civil servants and entire residents of Kebbi State to reciprocate the gesture through cooperation and support to policies and programmes of the State Government.

Shortly after the lawmakers passed vote-of-confidence on the State Chief Executive, the Speaker Mohammed Usman said Governor Idris Administration had lived up to its promises so far and therefore deserved public accolades.

He furher noted that the successes recorded within the 100 days of his governance was a clear testimony of his commitment to developing the state and its citizens.

The speaker said the Vote-Of-Confidence was a mark of support to encourage the Governor to remain on the path of progress and exemplary style of leadership.
