Gombe State Police Command said they have succeeded in killing one kidnapper and arrested three others during a gun battle.
The state commissioner of police, Mr. Maikudi Shehu made this known while briefing journalists on Wednesday.
He revealed that the leader of the kidnappers met his waterloo when they exchanged fire with the police and three others were arrested.
He said the kidnappers who came from Adamawa State were said to have been terrorizing Akko and Billiri local government areas.
The commissioner explained that the kidnappers through their leader Ustaz invited them from Adamawa State to kidnapped one Babayo and take him to bush for ransom.
He appreciated with the level of commitment played by local hunters within the area that use to give police useful information about criminal activities.
