Lagos Christian Pilgrims Welfare Board promises improved pilgrimage services

The Lagos State Christian Pilgrims Welfare Board has promised improved welfare services for the 2025 pilgrimage exercise, scheduled to commence at the end of January.

Addressing intending pilgrims at the Chapel of Christ the Light, Alausa, Ikeja, during the second phase of the 2025 medical and administrative screening, Board Secretary, Okudero Gbolabo Omoniyi, Ph.D., stated that pilgrims should expect improved services, including conducive accommodation, weather-resistant welfare materials, healthy meals, and visits to new historical sites in Israel and Jordan.

This was contained in a statement by Ebunoluwa Olagoke, Director, Public Affairs Unit, CPWB.

The screening exercise, aimed at verifying pilgrims’ physical fitness and travel documents, featured safety guidelines for airlift and pilgrimage.

Notable top government officials at the event included Honourable Commissioner for Home Affairs, Hon. Olanrewaju Layode, and Special Adviser on Christian Religious Matters, Very Revd Adebukola Adeleke, who reiterated their commitment to pilgrims’ welfare and safety during the holy journey.

Intending pilgrims expressed appreciation to the Lagos State Government for facilitating their long-awaited visit to the Holy Land.
