Lamido Adamawa praises Nigerian Communications Commission for farnessing socio- economy of the nation

The Lamido Adamawa, Alhaji Mohammadu Aliyu Mustapha says creating more job opportunities for the masses lies on the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) by adequately harnessing socio- economic development.
Lamido Mustapha made the ascertion while addressing Telecom consumers in Yola, Adamawa state, where NCC are been charged to create more awareness amongst the consumers to intimate them on their rights as Telecom consumers.
He said apart from it regulatory functions, NCC should look inward and come up with new creative innovations.
The Royal Highness who was represented by Professor Abba Tahir said, telecom is one of the largest employer of labour in Nigeria and he believed that there areas that are yet to be harnessed and if harnessed it would create more jobs opportunities for Nigerians particular the youths.
Lamido therefore admonished the consumers to take advantage of the awareness campaign to address their challenges regarding service delivery and also make use of the knowledge provided for the future.
In a remark, the Director Consumers Affairs Bureau of NCC, Mr Alkasim Umar said the commission’s decision to hold the 4th edition of the village square dialogue in Yola is in firmed recognition of the city being the largest capital city and administrative center of Adamawa state.
He accordingly said, the NCC also wants to appreciate the warm reception and support habitually accorded to the telecom industry which is reflected in achieving the objectives of this village square dialogue.
