In what appears to be a groundbreaking initiative, the Member representing Jema’a/Sanga Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Daniel Amos has distributed motorcycles exclusively to Pastors and Imams in the constituency.
The presentation ceremony, held on Thursday at his constituency office in Kafanchan, saw 32 religious leaders benefit from the gesture. Hon. Amos, represented by the PDP Chairman of Sanga Local Government Area, Hon. James Nji, described the initiative as a token of appreciation for the prayers and support of the clergy, which he credited as instrumental to his victory during the last elections.
Acknowledging the demanding nature of their work, the lawmaker said the gesture was aimed at alleviating the challenges clerics face while discharging their duties. He prayed for their safety and fruitful use of the motorcycles.

In his remarks, a representative of the Kaduna State PDP executive, Alhaji Samaila Koyos, commended the clergy for their continuous prayers for peace and progress in the country. He urged them to sustain this spirit for the development of the nation.
The Chairmen of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) and Jama’atu Nasril Islam (JNI) in Jema’a Local Government, Venerable Emmanuel Markus and Malam Garba Alhassan, applauded Hon. Amos for his impactful representation. They noted that his performance in the National Assembly demonstrates a commitment to the well-being of his constituents.
One of the beneficiaries, Reverend Yakubu Bido, expressed gratitude for the gesture, noting that it was the first time clergymen had been prioritized in such distributions by a politician. He assured that the motorcycles would be used for the intended purpose.
The initiative sets Hon. Daniel Amos apart as a leader who recognizes and supports the vital roles religious leaders play in fostering peace and development.
