Late Buhari: Nasarawa Governor Sule leads strong delegation on condolence visit to Daura

Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State has led a strong delegation comprising of two former governors of the state, on a condolence visit to the family residence of the late Muhammadu Buhari in Daura, Katsina State.

Governor Sule, in company of Senators Abdullahi Adamu and Umaru Tanko Al-makura, left Abuja for Daura on Saturday.

As part of the entourage on the trip to Daura, there are other top government functionaries to include Secretary to the Government of Nasarawa State, Labaran Shuaibu Magaji, PhD, Accountant General of the State, Dr. Musa Ahmed Muhammed, as well as the Emir of Lafia, HRH Justice Sidi Bage Mohammed III.

On arrival in Daura, the delegation is expected to convey the condolences of the government and people of Nasarawa State to the bereaved family members of the former president.

This is just as Governor Sule has approved for the hosting of a special prayer session in honour of the late Muhammadu Buhari in Lafia, the Nasarawa state capital on Sunday.

Secretary to the Nasarawa State Government, Labaran Shuaibu Magaji, PhD, conveyed the approval, stating that the special prayer session will hold at the Palace of the Emir of Lafia, with all political appointees expected to attend.

Recall that former president Muhammadu Buhari died on Sunday, 13th July and was buried on Tuesday, 15th July 2025 according to Islamic rites in Daura.
