Leader of notorious bandits, kidnappers gang, Ya’u killed by security agents in Bauchi

Leader of one of the notorious gang of bandits /kidnappers terrorizing residents of Ningi LGA of Bauchi State has simply identified as Ya’u has been gundown by security agencies. 

It was gathered that Military personnel operating in a statement by joint security operation in Ningi LGA succeeded in neutralizing Ya’u. 

The killed Ya’u is said to be the leader of a  notorious gang using heavy weapons to terrorize residents of Burra and adjoining communities by kidnapping them for ransom in some extreme, killing them if demands for ransom payment cannot be met. 

Reliable report from the area revealed that the Soldiers were able to neutralize Ya’u late on Thursday during a professional ambush laid by the Soldiers on the route of the bandits on their way back to their hideout after an operation. 

The bandits /hotzonewinners had earlier, kidnapped the traditional ruler of a village called Kwajale.

Additional information have it that residents of the area expressed joy and happiness over the successful extermination of the leaders of the bandits who had really terrorized them by collecting huge amount of money as ransom from victims of his criminal activity over the years. 

The report revealed that Ya’u, met his Waterloo having led an operation during which Sarkin Kwajale in Magami, Sumaila LGA of Kano State in the late evening of last Thursday. 

This is coming few days after the Emir of Ningi, Alh Dr Yunusa Muhammadu Danyaya met his traditional rulers to offer special prayers and gave them a marching order to assist in curbing the activities of kidnappers and bandits in the area. 

During the meeting held in his Palace in Ningi, the Emir had expressed his displeasure over the spate of criminalites in the area, particularly kidnapping for ramson by the bandits and kidnappers. 

Yunusa Danyaya had told the traditional rulers to collaborate with the security agencies operating in the area in order to change the trend of events in the area. 

As of the time of filling this report, the State Police Command was yet to make official comment on the incidence while the Military authorities could not be reached for comment.
