Leadership Newspapers: Governor Fintiri receives award, dedicates it to people of Adamawa

Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has received and Award of 2019 “Governor of the Year” by the Leadership Newspapers and reiterated his unshakable resolve to continue with the good work his administration has started to the citizenry.

The Governor who stated this on Thursday shortly after receiving the award at the International Conference Centre Abuja said he dedicated the award to his drivers, domestic staffs and the good people of Adamawa state.

This was contained in a statement by Senior Special Assistant (SSA) on New Media, Muhammad B. Tukur made available to Apex News Exclusive in Abuja.

The Governor explained that his administration came on board to salvage the people of Adamawa from bondage of poverty, unemployment and bad leadership that has turned the state backward and promised to change the scenario.

Governor Fintiri enumerated his achievements in the areas of security, free education, infrastructure, health, water supply and restructuring the civil service among others which he noted has touched the lives of the people.

He thanked the Leadership Newspapers for identifying and recognising his achievements and the award bestowed on him and pledged to rededicate himself to the service of the people of Adamawa who elected him into office.

The Group Managing Director of Nigeria Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), Malam Mele Kyari among other speakers, in his goodwill message commended the organisers of the event which he said will serve as a moral buster to those on position of authority.

Highlights of the ceremony was a paper presentation on Economics of Boarder Closure and presentation of awards to Governor Fintiri by former Vice President Namadi Sambo.
