The National League of Veteran Journalists (NALVEJ), Kwara State Chapter has applauded the appointment of a seasoned journalist, Kayode Aremu as the General Manager of Radio Kwara.
The union in a statement by its publicity secretary, Alhaji Abdullahi Olesin, said the chairman of the union, Alhaji Tunde Akanbi, described Aremu’s appointment as well deserved.
Akanbi praised Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for making the right choice in the appointment.
He urged the governor to appoint more qualified indigenous professional as heads of the state-owned media outfits.
The NALVEJ chairman who expressed confidence in the ability of Aremu to take Radio Kwara to a more greater heights as he did with the Sobi FM, urged the staff of the corporation to give him maximum cooperation.
He charged Aremu not to betray the confidence reposed on him by the state government.
