Lifidin Jama’a in Kaduna empowers 121 women with business seed cash

Lifidin Jama’a, Alhaji Bashir Idris has empowered 121 women in Jama’a Emirate of Jema’a Local Government Area of Kaduna State for business development.

Lifidi, gave the women a seed capital of N10, 000 each to venture into various small scale businesses or to develop their existing businesses.

Speaking at the program that held at Aliyu Waziri Primary School Kafanchan, the Chief Imam of Jama’a Central Mosque in Kafanchan, Alhaji Muhammad Kabir Qassim commended the philanthropist for the initiative which aimed at promoting peaceful co-existence between Christians and Muslims through economic engagement.

He called on other well meaning individuals and organizations to emulate the Lifidin Jama’a and help the poor and vulnerable amongst them.

Also, Sheikh Muhammad Rabi’u Mai Doya, tasked the beneficiaries to make good use of the resources given to them so as to achieve the objective of the exercise.

Earlier in his short address, Alhaji Bashir Idris who said the essence was to promote peace through economic empowerment, called on the beneficiaries to make proper use of the money in promoting their businesses.

Idris noted that he donated the phase one of the exercise for them to either start a fresh business like frying of bean cake, selling groundnut oil, yams and the rest, or to expand their small scale business and work hard to multiply it.

Speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries, Mrs. Lami Bako thanked Alhaji Idris for deeming it fit to assist them with funds to start and grow their businesses.

They promised to make use of the money in starting and promoting small scale business.

The beneficiaries cut across all religious and ethnic divides within Jama’a Emirate.
