Lockdown: 3000 households enjoyed Bauchi gesture

Following the lockdown of three local government areas in Bauchi by the state government as a result of prevalence of coronavirus , the state government recently kicked off the distribution of food items to 3, 000 households in Katagum, Giade and Zaki the three affected local governments in the state.
The chairman Bauchi State COVID-19 palliative committee , who is the Emir of Bauchi, Dr. Rilwanu Suleiman Adamu, kicked off the distribution at the headquarters of the Bauchi State Agricultural Development Program (BSADP).
He explained that each bag of the food item that will be given to the households contains rice, beans, spaghetti and sachets of tomatoes among others.
The Emir unfolded that the committee which was set up by the state government , received funds from the state government, corporate organizations and well to do individuals which they utilized in buying the food stuffs for distribution to good people of the state.
According to the Chairman, the committee also got food donations from many organizations and individuals including the former president Goodluck Ebele Jonathan’s foundation that donated 500 bags of rice of 5 kilograms and 500 bags of beans of 5 kilograms.
The emir who thanked all those that made the donations assured that the food items would be shared fairly to the people of the three local government areas.
