By Yusuf Salihu Sansani, Jalingo

Major political parties in Taraba State have commenced the sale of nomination forms to prospective aspirants for chairmanship and councillorship positions in the forthcoming Local Government election scheduled for November 18, 2023.

To this end, the ruling party in the state the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has perked the cost of the nomination form for the Chairman at N2 million, the Labour Party (LP), N250000 while the All Progressives Congress (APC) at N200000.

Speaking with Apex News Exclusive in Jalingo, State Publicity Secretary of the PDP Andete’rang Eranma’e said the party is fully prepared for the election and that there are some other not fixed extra charges not to be paid by the contestants.

Eranma’e explained that as usual no other Political Party in the State will win a single seat in the election, the PDP will clinch all the chairmanship and councillorship positions.

“None of parties that are all in disarray will present candidates competent enough to challenge the PDP under a free and fair election in Taraba State”.

He advised Tarabans to continue to thank God for making them a PDP State since the returned of democracy in 1999.

The State PDP Publicity Secretary expressed gratitude that the Election Petition Tribunal again Confirmed that Taraba State is PDP and PDP is Taraba State by dismissing the petition against the election of Governor Dr. Agbu Kefas by the Governorship candidate of the NNPP Professor Mohammed Sani Yahaya which reflected the reality on grounds in Taraba State.

The PDP spokesman noted that those who approached the Tribunal just embarked on unfruitful venture they do not have any substantial evidence to uproot the PDP which won convincingly and creditably describing their going to the Tribunal as ill advised saying that they should not have been to the Tribunal in the first place.

He appealed to those in the other political parties in the State to sheath their swords and join hands with Governor Agbu Kefas who is running an all inclusive Government to move the State forward.
