Manu wins Taraba APGA governorship primary election

Mr Sunday Fudemure Manu has emerged the All Progressive Grand Alliance, (APGA), gubernatorial candidate for Taraba State.
Manu got 379 votes out of 504 votes cast to beat his rival Nuhu Tinyang Dan Fikyu who got 99 votes. 
Declaring the result, the returning officer of the party, Nuvalga Paul Kungana said Manu emerged the winner of the election following the numbers of votes scored in the poll.
He congratulated Manu for clinching the position and urged the party’s loyalists to throw their support to the winner to enable him compete fovourably in next year’s elections.
Speaking shortly after announcing the result, Manu appreciated the party’s supporters for voting him assuring to justify the confidence reposed in him if voted into power.
Manu called on other aspirants in the party to support him, stressing that government is a collaboration of many individuals aimed at representing society, hence the need for synergy that can enable him succeed.

He revealed that when voted into power, his cardinal focus would center on education, youth empowerment and agriculture considering huge natural deposited in the state.
On his part, the contender, Fikyu congratulated Manu for emerging winner of the election attributing the exercise to the work of God.
Fikyu pledged to give maximum support to the flag bearer to facilitate his victory at the general elections.
