Manufacturers association to partner Anambra government on industrial development

The Branch Chairlady of Manufacturers Association of Nigeria, Anambra, Enugu, Ebonyi states, Lady Ada Chukwudozie has expressed determination of manufacturers under her leadership to boost the industrial base of Anambra State if accorded the needed cooperation and enabling environment to operate their businesses.
She is the wife of the Chairman, Dozzy Oil and Gas Ltd told journalists in Onitsha overworked during a Town Hall meeting between Governor Chukwuma Soludo and manufacturers in the State.
Lady Chukwudozie expressed hope that creating an enabling environment like regular provision of power supply, good road network, security among others would increase productivity and openings for job and wealth creation for better living standard of the people.
The MAN Boss noted that the recent Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) Anambra State Government signed with Enugu Electricity Distribution Company (EEDC) for regular supply of power across the State was a right step to boost industrialisation.
Earlier at the occasion which held at Harbour Industrial Layout, Ogbaru near Onitsha, Governor Chukwuma Soludo reiterated readiness of his government to assist manufacturers summount major challenges hindering industrialisation of the State.
According to Mr. Governor, “recent agreement reached with energy distributors in the South East, EEDC is the first step towards encouraging manufacturers.”
Governor Soludo promised to continue to assist MAN through government policies and programmes to increase productivity by manufacturers in the State.
In an interview, Anambra State Markets Amalgamated Traders Association (ASMATA) President- General, Chief Humphrey Anuna (Onwa Oraeri) said that with the genuine expression of the Governor before manufacturers, traders, business owners and other residents of the State it has shown that Governor Soludo was out to industrialise the State.
He, however, called on potential industrialists and members of MAN to cooperate with government for realisation of the lofty dream.
Among those that graced the occasion were Governor Chukwuma Soludo, Obi of Onitsha, Igwe Alfred Nnaemeka Achebe, Senator Ifeanyi Uba, National President of MAN, Otunba Francis, Chairman, Dozzy Group of Companies, Chief Dan Chukwudozie (Akudo) among others.
