MD NCDC celebrates Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Dr. Doro

The Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the North Central Development Commission (NCDC), Dr. Cyril Yiltsen Tsenyil, joined dignitaries and well-wishers at a reception held in honour of the newly inaugurated Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Poverty Reduction and Disaster Management, Dr. Bernard Mohammed Doro. The event took place at the Rainbow Marquee, Garki, Abuja.
Dr. Tsenyil expressed delight that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu (GCFR) appointed a distinguished Plateau son to succeed the current APC National Chairman, Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda Goshewe, and also retained the ministry in Plateau’s leadership fold.
He noted that this continuity provides an opportunity to build on the humanitarian progress previously achieved.
He prayed that God would grant the new Minister wisdom, strength and integrity to serve the nation diligently and deliver on the mandate of reducing poverty, managing emergencies and providing relief to vulnerable citizens.
Dr. Tsenyil assured that the North Central Development Commission will collaborate closely with the Ministry to jointly address the pressing challenges of internally displaced persons (IDPs), poverty, and other social burdens affecting communities across the North Central region.

Also speaking, the APC Chairman in Plateau State, Hon. Rufus Bature, described the appointment as a morale booster for party members, reaffirming their commitment to the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Tinubu.
Chairman of the Planning Committee, Hon. Pam Bot-Mang, expressed gratitude to God and the President for entrusting the ministry to Dr. Doro, who he noted brings vast experience in humanitarian service and health-related interventions.
Governor Caleb Mutfwang, former Deputy Governor Dame Pauline Tallen, and Speaker of the Plateau State House of Assembly Rt. Hon. Naanlong Gapyil Daniel, among other dignitaries, emphasized the need for all appointees to always prioritize the collective interest and development of Plateau State.
In his remarks, Dr. Doro appreciated the overwhelming support and goodwill from the people of Plateau State. He pledged to justify the confidence reposed in him by President Tinubu and Nigerians, assuring that he will serve with dedication and accountability.
