The Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, SAN, has accepted the prestigious ISO 9001 certification on behalf of Nigerian Airspace Management Agency, (NAMA).

The Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA) has reached historic milestones under the leadership of its Managing Director, Engr. Farouk Ahmed Umar.

This global recognition, earned in December 2024, underscores NAMA’s commitment to implementing a robust Quality Management System, enhancing safety standards, and maintaining top-tier Communication, Navigation, and Surveillance (CNS) infrastructure.

Describing the certification as the perfect end-of-year gift, the Minister commended NAMA for aligning with President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda and elevating Nigeria’s aviation sector to global standards.

In addition to the ISO 9001 certification, the Minister also received the Award of Excellence for Quality Service Delivery from SERVICOM Presidency, Nigeria, on behalf of NAMA.

This recognition, the first in NAMA’s history since the establishment of its SERVICOM department in 2004, highlights the agency’s dedication to delivering exceptional services and bridging the gap between government and citizens.

These dual achievements reflect NAMA’s pivotal role in advancing Nigeria’s aviation sector, positioning the country as a leader in airspace management, and showcasing the visionary leadership of the Minister and Engr. Umar.
