Miyetti Allah Chairman urges members to get voters cards in ongoing registration

The Chairman Miyetti Allah Catle Breeders Association of Nigeria Kaduna State Alhaji Abdulhamid Musa has made a passionate appeal to members in the State to come out and renew their voters cards.
Abdulhamid made the appeal in Kafanchan during a meeting with some executives of the association of southern Kaduna in Kafanchan Jema’a Local Government Area headquarters.
The Chairman mentioned that as Nigerians, without the voters card, a citizen doesn’t have any relevance and is not recognised in any ramification against which backdrop he urged all and sundry to come out with their families enmasse to register in any category of the exercise, that will make all of then eligible.
According to the Chairman, before going to the INEC office, members should perform the online registration process to make the final registration easier.
He noted that most of the members of the association do not care about the political activities in the country, which is a great mistake that has been the reason why they are facing several challenges. Noting that most of them are not around during tegisterstion and as a result they cannot vote owing to the fact that they do not carry voters cards.
He added that the Fulani tribe has the highest population in Southern Kaduna compared to other tribes, but their inability to settle down in one place has been the reason why their numbers are not noticed.
It was against this backdrop that he advised them to take measures that would promote togetherness and unity by registering themselves to be included in all the programmes going on in the political process of the nation.
On the issues of clashes among farmers and herders, the Chairman appealed to all members to avoid all tendencies that would disrupt the normalcy and peaceful coexistence been enjoyed in all the nooks and crannies of the State.
He further instructed all local government branches chairmen of the association to send monthly reports of issues concerning their areas to the Headquarters for necessary actions anytime the need arises.
The Chairman advised members to avoid sending small children to rear cattle, observed payments of Zakkat, and reported any case to the appropriate quarters without taking the law in their hands.
In a remark at the meeting, the Ardon Ardodi of Kachia Local government Area Alhaji Gaga Magaji who spoke on behalf of the Ardos appealed to all hearders to go about their endeavours peacefully without any bad acts such as crop destruction.
Alhaji Gaga reminded them to have the fear of God as the Almighty sees every evil that man commits and will definitely punish him.
In their various speeches, the Local Government branches Chairmen of the association comprising the eight local governments of Southern Kaduna stated that, they have been holding meetings regularly geared towards ensuring peaceful coexistence among them and their neighbours.
They, however, lamented on the issues of harassment on some of their communities by Security Personnels, cattle rustlers, and bandits against which backdrop they appealed to the Chairman to help nib the menace in the bud.
Highlights of the event included the swearing-in of some new executives that were performed by the Chairman.
