Miyetti Allah condemns acts of unnecessary bloodshed between farmers, herders in Kaduna

The Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN), Southern Kaduna Chapter has condemned in strong terms the unnecessary killings among farmers and herders in Kaduna State, and have resolved to do everything possible to ensure that the people live in mutual respect understanding and peaceful coexistence irrespective of any difference.
Addressing newsmen after an emergency meeting with security operatives in Kafanchan on Saturday, the Chairman of the Association, Alhaji Haruna Usman Tugga stated that they have make the resolution during the meeting to pave way for peace and harmony to thrive, which without, there would not be any meaningful development.
The chairman noted with sadness that lives of farmers and herders are wasted incessantly in the communities over trivial issues that can be solved amicably.
Alhaji Haruna said they had to organize the emergency meeting with the security personnel and executives of the association of the eight Local Governments of Southern Kaduna, over the recent crisis that occurred in parts of Kaura Local Government which led to the lost of lives and properties.
He said the leadership of the association has discussed strategies and modalities on how to work with the security personnel geared towards finding lasting solution to the menace bedeviling the area, the State, and the Nation at large.
The Chairman reiterated the readiness of the association to give their contribution and support geared towards ensuring normalcy and lasting peace, returns to all nooks and crannies of the area, against which backdrop he appealed to all associations to organize meetings and dialogues that would assist in uniting the people.
He urged the people in the State to give peace a chance by avoiding all tendencies that would bridge the existing peace been enjoyed, to pave way for meaningful development.
While commending the Kaduna State Government on their proactive measures on security matters in the State, Alhaji Haruna admonished them to as a matter of urgency, look out for additional strategies to combat the situation, and look for ways to reduce it to the nearest minimum, or totally nib it in the bud.
Similarly, the Atyap Chiefdom Peace and Security Partnership Committee (ACPSPC) in Zangon Kataf called on the Fulani, Atyap and Hausa that coexisted to continue living in peace with each other and refrain from any act of bloodshed.
The chairman, ACPSPC, Mr. John Bala Gora stated this in a jointly meeting between the tribes at Agwatyap Palace in Atak Njei in Zangon Kataf, Saturday.
Gora, who is also the Danmadamin Atyap reiterated the need for building and sustaining the existing peace to pave ways for meaningful development in the chiefdom, the LGA and the entire state.
