MKYROC Football Academy wins 2024 Bauchi Ramadan football trophy

MKYROC Football Academy, Wunti, Bauchi has lifted the trophy of the 2024 third edition of the yearly Ramadan fasting football competition which kicked off on the first day of the commencement of the Ramadan.
The yearly Ramadan fasting football competition was initially organized and sponsored by Coach Hafizu Barde in 2021 with 8 football teams within Bauchi Metropolis.
The 2024 3rd edition of the competition was competed by 16 football teams within Bauchi Metropolis.
The final match which kicked off by 4: 00 pm between Lion Zamad Kobi Fc Bauchi and MKYROC Academy Wunti Bauchi, behind open air theater playground along Chris Abutu Garuba Road Bauchi, saw the home team Lion Zamad taking the kick off.
Both teams started like hungry lions looking for early goals but all efforts to register early goals proves abortive as several attempts goal post by the two sides missed target.
Fifteen minutes later MKYROC Academy took total control of game displaying new soccer talent and skills which demoralized the Lion Zamad. Twenty five minutes into play Abubakar Ibrahim Dune register the opening goal for MKYROC Academy.The first stanza ended 0-1 in favor of the visiting MKYROC.
On resumption into the second 45 minutes of the game, the Lion Zamad seems to have resumed with an instruction not to allow the mkyroc academy setle until they equalize and get winning as they started agressivily penetrating the defence box of the Academy several times to equalize but the trio efforts of the defence giants of mkyroc led by the skipper of side Bilya Yusuf waisted all the efforts of the Zamad attackers.
Abubakar Dune of MKYROC increased the tally when he scored the second goal 78 minutes into play. And same Abubakar Dune closed the chapter for Lion Zamad when he registered the third goal at 88 minutes, which ended the final Match 0-3 in favor of mkyroc academy.
In an interview with sports journalists shortly after presentation of the trophy to the winning team MKYROC academy, the Chief Coach of MKYROC FC, Musa Ali, expressed gratitude to God for giving his team the opportunity to win this year’s Ramadan fasting Cup. Saying ” from the pitch to the hearts of orphans our football club, named in honour of MKYROC Bauchi lifted the Ramadan Cup trophy, but the greatest achievement is to put smiles to the faces of our Children, applauding their compassion and team work” he said.
