Musa Babayo joins Bauchi APC guber race, says want pay back what Bauchi did for him

A former chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), one-time Chairman of the board of the Tertiary Education Fund (Tetfund), Dr Musa Babayo has publicly declared his intention to aspire for the gubernatorial ticket of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Bauchi State.

Dr. Musa Babayo while making the declaration over the weekend, said that his sole objective of aspiring to the seat is to pay back to the state what it had done for him especially in footing his primary, secondary and tertiary education.

Musa Babayo explained that his educational pursuit was shouldered by the 60s to 70s Native Authority and the Bauchi state government, saying that it was only on his Masters degree that he enjoyed foreign scholarship.
Musa Babayo, was speaking when along with his campaign team stormed the Bauchi Secretariat of the APC to signify his interest in the governorship run. 
He recalled that he had his early education in Azare of Katagum Emirate before he proceeded to BACAS in Bauchi, and subsequently Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) Zaria where he bagged Business Administration (Finance & Accountancy).
The Bauchi APC governorship hopeful who hold banking career experience, was in 2008 under the Late Umar Musa Yar’adua led PDP administration appointed Chairman of the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TetFund) where he creditably performed in promoting the development of education in the country.
He commended the Bauchi Emirate , the south administrative zone in particular for giving Katagum Emirate the privilege of producing the first Executive Governor of the state in 1979 in the person of late Abubakar Tatari Ali, stressing that ever since the good working relationship between the two emirates continued to wax stronger.
Musa Babayo who holds the traditional title of Talban Katagum implored upon the APC Executives in the state to exhibit justice and fairness in the conduct of all party activities, while giving level playing grounds to all aspirants to electives offices from the state.
According to him, “Myself, as a gubernatorial aspirant, I have every confidence in the leadership of the party in the state in whatever party activity it might conduct for the political benefit of its members and the mankind. So offer the best to your ability for it is only the Almighty Allah who can judge you’. 
Highlights of Governorship aspirant Musa Babayo’s visit to the Bauchi APC State Secretariat was the presentation of the newly constructed part office to facilitate smooth conduct of administrative activities.
In his response the state chairman of the party, Alhaji Babayo Aliyu Misau assured all the guber aspirants that APC in Bauchi would exhibit justice, fairness and equity to all members irrespective geographical background.
Babayo Misau solicited for cooperation and understanding of party members, especially aspirants to various elective positions, saying that as for the gubernatorial seat, aspirants should bear in mind that it is only one person that can ascend to the position.
The APC Chairman further assured that party captains would undertake their responsibilities to the best of their abilities, and in heeding to the wishes of the majority in consonance with democratic norms.
