Gubernatorial candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) in Bauchi State, Sen Haliru Dauda Jika has said that if elected as the next Governor of the state, his administration will declare a State of Emergency of the health sector.
Haliru Jika was speaking at the Hazibal Suites, Bauchi on Friday when he made public, his manifesto and blueprint which will be implemented if elected.
According to him, “there are a lot of issues raised in the manifesto ranging from agriculture, education, health, human and capital development. We want to turn around the art of governance in the state.”
He said that, his administration will focus on healthcare service delivery in order to improve on it saying that when healthcare services are standardized, other sectors will fall in place.
The gubernatorial candidate added that education will receive a massive attention in order to ensure that quality teaching and learning environment across the state was created.
He also said that teachers will be trained and retrained in order to bring them up to the current situation in the teaching scheme because the rate of out of school children must reduce to the barest minimum.
He further assured that, “as a lawmaker, I will ensure that laws that will make life more meaningful for the people of the state were taken before the State Assembly and enacted for good governance.”
Haliru Jika also assured that, “As an Engineer, I will introduce technology into the art of governance to ensure that things are done the best possible ways they can be done. I want the people of the state to have the best.”
He also assured that youths and women development will be focused in order to reduce the rate of unemployment in the state stressing that his administration will be made up of mainly youths and women who are actively involved in the Bauchi project.
