Governor of Taraba State Dr. Agbu Kefas says his one year anniversary celebration was a session to x-ray where his Government is with reference to where the State was and the plans for the days ahead without dwelling much on the challenges he met on ground, by assessing his achievements so far in the last 365 Days, and those in progress.
The Governor who made this assertion while addressing the People of the State to mark the one year celebration said
Tarabans can attest to his feats in Educational reforms, compulsory free education initiatives from Primary to Secondary and 50% off Tertiary Education fees, improved Health Care and Security, continuation and completion of abandoned projects, boosting the local economy, investment in Agriculture, prompt payment of pension and salaries, improved conditions for civil servants and vocational training for Youths.
“Looking ahead, we plan to strengthen Community security, attract more Investors, offer more training to Civil Servants, continued infrastructural improvements in Schools and enhance Vocational Programs, we will invest in Youth and Sports, accelerate Road construction, and explore renewable Energy” the Governor stated.
“The one year has been a great year of massive development in Taraba, with every sector feeling the ‘Moving Forward’ wind of change.
We are convinced that our efforts are yielding positive results, and it is a new dawn in Taraba State,
as we count down to another 365 Days, I will beg for your support and prayers, we won’t stop our commitment to pro-masses policies and investments” the Governor pledges.
The climax of the occasion was a grand Dinner and Gala night at the Jolly Nyameh Stadium Jalingo where the Governor thanked the people of the state for the mandate given to him to serve them and assured that on the coming years the State will witness more prosperity as he is determined to give Taraba State what It deserves as he is ever ready to provide the right leadership the people requires.
The events was attended by high ranking personalities and top government funtionaries within and outside the state.
There were also various cultural displays during the occasion.
