My suspension from office, huge joke taken too far, says Ningi LG chair in Bauchi

The Executive Chairman of Ningi Local Government Council of Bauchi State, Alhaji Mamuda Hassan Tabla has described his purported suspension from office as a joke taken too far by the perpetrators of such unimaginable exercise. 
Mamuda Hassan Tabla debunked the report which was published in an online medium as well as a segment of the social media describing it as a figment of the imagination of the peddlers. 

Speaking to our Correspondent vide telephone conversation on Thursday, Mamuda Hassan Tabla in a swift reaction, described the rumour as “unfounded, mischievous , Politically motivated and fake” . 
He said that, “My performance as the elected Executive Chairman of Ningi LGC is unassailable. My link with my constituents, Councilors and entire people of Ningi Local Government is unbreakable” . 
He added that, “The Leadership of my Party, PDP, my people, have total faith and belief in my abilities. My further progress in politics is in the hands of God. No amount of fake news can stop what has been divinely ordained,”. 
The Council Chairman alleged that,”this huge joke was put together by the Council Secretary in collaboration with the Commissioner of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs for a reason best known to them. As I am speaking with you, I am in my office with the 18 Councillors elected with me to serve the people of the Council”. 
Mamuda Hassan further said that his attention was drawn to a report  on social media and online medium that he was suspended as the Executive Chairman of Ningi LGC dismissing the reports as concocted, mischievous and badly crafted fake news. 
According to him, “I would have ignored this patently laughable and contradictory hatchet job, but, for the fact that the undiscerning may fall for this deception if the facts are not put straight,”. 
He explained that, “in their haste to execute their devilish agenda, they failed to get their facts right, as I am talking to you, this Thursday morning, I am in my office on my seat discharging my official functions and responsibilities harmoniously as executive Chairman of Ningi LGC. I have not received any official in that regard”.
Mamuda Hassan Tabla further said that he was aware that the news of the so-called “suspension” is the handiwork of political forces “bent on degrading our political stature and positioning themselves for higher office” , saying, they are mistaken. 
He however explained that since assumption of office as Chairman of Ningi LGC, he has adopted the inclusive and participatory approach and has been transparent and accountable to all and make tremendous efforts In the provision of infrastructures. 
He stressed that, “in Bauchi state, If you didn’t count me as number one I will be number two or three in terms of performance in office. We have been forthright in carrying out our official functions together with my councillors, some politicians decided to use them for their selfish interest but they refuse to be use” 
The Ningi LGC Chairman added that, “That is how we have always worked in the council. The idea of disunity or attempt to move against the Chairman by Councilors only exists in the imagination of mischief makers,”. 
On the issue of allegations of Lame/ Burra Game reserve forest , the Chairman said that various Committees have been set up by the State Government and nothing incriminating was found against him. 

“it is the issue of illegal settlers in the forest and the first is under the state government. As a Council, we will continue to do our best to protect the environment and ensure that our people did not do anything that may lead to the breakdown of law and order”, he said. 
He commended Governor Bala Mohammed for his steadfastness in steering the affairs of the State very well in the last 3 years saying that the state had not had it so good before now stressing that, “The entire people of the LGA are with the Governor and will always do what will make his government successful” . 
He then advised the Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ) to take punitive measures against their members who do not cross check their facts before going to press and threaten to meet with stakeholders to seek for redress.
It will be recalled that on Wednesday, there were reports circulated in an online medium which was echoed by social media bloggers that the Ningi Local Government Chairman, Mamuda Hassan Tabla was suspended from office by the Council.
