NACCIMA President, Engr. Jani Ibrahim, bags National Policy Fellow award

The National President of the Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (NACCIMA), Engr. (Dr.) Jani Ibrahim, mni, OON, has been honoured with the prestigious National Policy Fellow (NPF) award by the Abuja Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI).

The award, presented at the opening ceremony of the 20th Abuja International Trade Fair, recognises Engr. Ibrahim’s exceptional contributions to commerce, industry, and the advancement of Nigeria’s business community.

In his remarks, Engr. Ibrahim expressed gratitude to ACCI, describing the recognition as “a call to greater service,” while reaffirming NACCIMA’s commitment to driving economic growth, innovation, and sustainable development.

Engr. Ibrahim, Founder and Chairman of Lubcon Group, is an accomplished engineer, entrepreneur, and recipient of the national honour, Officer of the Order of the Niger (OON). He is also an alumnus of King’s College, Lagos; the University of London; the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS), Kuru; and Harvard Business School.

Other recipients of the 2025 NPF award include:

Hon. Justice Ishaq Bello (Rtd.), former Chief Judge of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT)

Osi Imomoh, Former Vice President, ICT, ACCI & Chairman, Organising Committee, Africa Space Economy Conference and Exhibition

Barr. (Mrs.) Obiageli Nwosu, Vice President, Women Development and Gender Matters, ACCI

Amb. Olusegun H. Olugbile, Chairman, Data Analytics Privacy Technology Ltd.

Those honoured in absentia were:

Dr. Jumoke Oduwole, MFR, Honourable Minister, Federal Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment (FMITI)

Alhaji Idi Mukhtar Maiha, Honourable Minister of Livestock Development

The President of ACCI, Chief Emeka Obegolu, SAN, PhD, congratulated Engr. Ibrahim and the other awardees, commending their contributions to Nigeria’s development across various fields of endeavour.

According to the Director General of ACCI, the fellowship represents the Chamber’s highest policy recognition. It is conferred on eminent individuals who have demonstrated outstanding leadership, exemplary service, and a strong commitment to advancing Nigeria’s economic and business landscape.
