In a spirited press conference held in Jalingo, the capital of Taraba State, the current leadership of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) from Taraba State, under the stewardship of the National Clerk, Ambassador Hope Daniel Vyonku, has issued a compelling call for improved governance in the state. The apex student body urged His Excellency, Dr. Agbu Kefas (PhD), to consider aligning with the All Progressives Congress (APC) as a strategic move to better serve the people of Taraba.
The NANS leadership emphasized that the political framework within Taraba State requires restructuring within the ruling party, APC, to unlock the full potential for development and progress. Students from across the state expressed optimism that if Dr. Agbu Kefas were to join the APC, Taraba would benefit significantly from the federal support and resources currently enjoyed by other APC-led states.
The student body highlighted that the transition of Dr. Kefas into the APC fold represents a “winning train” that promises to strengthen governance and service delivery in Taraba State. This clarion call, they noted, is fueled by the desire of Taraba’s youth and student population to see tangible improvements in their state’s political and developmental landscape.
“Together, we are stronger,” Ambassador Hope Daniel Vyonku declared, “and if this call to serve better is answered, Taraba State stands to gain immensely from a more unified political approach under APC leadership.”
The NANS leadership’s appeal underscores the growing influence of student voices in shaping political discourse and their unwavering commitment to fostering progress in Taraba State through strategic political alignment.
