Nasarawa acting Governor, Akabe inspects ongoing renovation at Lafia stadium, action resumes on turf soon

The Acting Governor of Nasarawa State, Dr. Emmanuel Agbadu Akabe, on Friday, paid a scheduled visit to the Lafia City Stadium to inspect ongoing laying of artificial grass on the football field of the facility.

The acting Governor was accompanied by the State Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, Amb. Lucky Isaac Yargwa, and other Management Officials of the Ministry.

This was contained in a statement by Eche Amos, PRO, Nasarawa State Ministry of Youth and Sports Development.

Dr. Akabe interfaced with the Project Manager of Reform Sports West Africa, the firm contracted to renovate the playing turf of the Stadium and other related facilities, Engr. Peter Ajila, where he was briefed on the level of work done and the duration it would take to complete the task.

Dr. Akabe reiterated Government’s unalloyed commitment to provide enabling environment for the successful completion of the project.

The contractor assured that the laying of the playing turf would be completed in less than two weeks to return football activities to the venue.
