Nasarawa State Government has distributed relief materials to the victims of the rainstorm at Shafa Abakpa community in Toto Local Government Area (LGA) of the state to cushion the hardship.

Mr Benjamin Akwash, Director General, Nasarawa State Emergency Management Agency (NASEMA) carried out the distribution in Toto LGA of the State.

NASEMA Boss disclosed that the devastating rainstorms destroyed houses and valuables in the community, hence the government’s support to enable the victims to rebuild their homes.

The items distributed were mainly building materials: bags of cement, zincs, roofing nails, mattresses, toiletries, among others.

“A few weeks ago, there was a serious rainstorm that devastated so many households, destroyed buildings, property, and other valuables.

“In his compassionate manner, Gov Abdullahi Sule, has again through NASEMA brought succour to the victims. Supporting the victims shows that the Government under Gov Sule’s administration is responsive and alive to its responsibility.
