Nasarawa State University, Keffi Alumni seeks members’ support to fund development projects

The leadership of the Nasarawa State University Alumni Association has embarked on consultations with its members across the country to raise funds for the completion of its ongoing secretariat project and other development projects in their Alma mater.

The President of the Association, Barr. Nuhu John Egya, disclosed this when he led members of his Executive and other Alumni stakeholders on a solidarity visit to one of its prominent members in Abuja

The leadership of the association visited the Protocol Liaison Officer to President Bola Tinubu, Amb. Yakubu Musa, who graduated in the class of 2007 from the Department of Political Science of the University.

Barr. Egya informed Amb. Musa noted that the Association, under his leadership, was working hard to woo significant development projects to the university, noting that it would require the support of all members, especially those highly placed in society to realize the dreams.

The President said that top of their priorities was to complete the ongoing secretariat project to provide a befitting office accommodation for the officials and serve as a rallying point for its members whenever they visit the campus.

Egya, who applauded Amb. Yakubu Musa for being a worthy ambassador of the Association at the nation’s seat of power, urged him to always remember his alma mater in all his undertakings to attract more development to the University and opportunities for empowerment of members.

While recalling with nostalgia their memorable school days experience, the Alumni President called on all privileged members globally to always return to the institution to contribute to its development in remembrance of how the university raised and nurtured them into responsible individuals.

The delegation also presented an Award of Excellence to Amb. Yakubu Musa for displaying capacity and loyalty, which has earned him the prestigious position in the Government of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Responding to the accolades showered on him by the Alumni leadership, Amb. Yakubu Musa, Protocol Liaison Officer to the President, expressed joy over the visit, which he said was encouraging.

He promised to address all the issues presented before him by the leadership of the Alumni as part of his giving back to the University, which he described as one of the best in the country.

Ambassador Musa assured them of his commitment to the completion of the secretariat project, pledging to work in synergy with the leadership to realize the mission.

On his part, the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Alumni Association, Comr. Abah John Michael, lauded the President’s PLO, Amb. Yakubu Musa, for making himself accessible to his Alumni members and pledging their total support for the administration of President Bola Tinubu beyond 2027.
