Nasarawa State University, Keffi has conferred awards to the founding fathers of the varsity to mark 20 years of establishment of the institution since 2001.
Some of the awardees, were at some point visitor to the university for their privilege of being governors of the state.
They are Senator Abdullahi Adamu,the newly elected national chairman of the ruling All progressive Congress.Senstor Umaru Tanko Almakura,also a serving senator and one. Time visitor to the Nasarawa State University keffi.
The incumbent governor, Engineer Abdullahi Sule was also not left out.
Other recipients of the award are Chancellors and pro-chancellors , vice Chancellors ,who are Professor Adamu Baiki, professor shamsudenn omale and Rev. Fr. Mathew Kukah.
Also on the list of the awardees are imminent Nigeria and scholars who includes Prof, ochekpa onazi,Alh Abubakar Baban Sabua,Prof Emmanuel Kucha and Mr David Wodi Tukura.
Earlier ,senator Abdullahi Adamu,the first visitor of the university, said he was motivated to established the university following educational backwardness of the state when he became governor.
