Nasarawa State University, Keffi unveils convocation programme, produces 130 1st Class, 5,014 2nd Class graduates between 2016-2020

Nasarawa State University, Keffi has unveiled its convocation programme for 2016/2017, 2017/2018, 2018/2019 and 2019/2020 academic sessions.
The university also said it trained 24,129 graduands within the period will be awarded first degrees in various various disciplines.
At a press conferenc Monday being part of the convocation programme, the Vice Chancellor, Professor Suleiman Bala Mohammed, said out of the total number of students trained, 130 graduated with First class degrees, 5,014 had Second Class Upper, 15,749 had Second Class lower. He added that 2,926 had third class while 81 got pass degrees.
According to him, under post graduate courses,10, 034 graduands are to be awarded Doctorate, Master, professional Master and post graduate Diploma degrees for 2016 to 2020 and 2020/2021 academic sessions.
The Vice Chancellor further explained that 611 completed their doctorate programmes 3,215 completed Master 3,432 completed professional master while 2776 completed post graduate diploma programmes.
“To demonstrate our commitment to efficient and effective service delivery to our students, I wish to state that all the certificates of these graduands have been processed and will be ready for collection after the convocation exercise,” he stated.
Highlighting the convocation programme, the Vice Chancellor announced that the Vice President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo will be the special guest of honour while the Visitor and Governor of Nasarawa State, Engineer Abdullahi Sule is Chief Host.
Apex News Exclusivereports that the convocation programme which already started on March 25, 2022 with Jumaat prayer, had other events included general sanitation, novelty football match on Saturday March 26, interdenominational church service, engagement with Alumni Association, a book presentation, while a convocation lecture to be delivered by Senator Abdullahi Adamu, commissioning of projects on Wednesday while Thursday will be postgraduate convocation, endowments and awards of honorary degrees.
