Youth organisations under the auspices of All Nigerian Youth Organizations have urged President Bola Tinubu to enforce immediate compliance of reverted old National Anthem.

This is contained in a statement by its leader, Dr Muhammad Kassim, and made available to newsmen on Friday in Lafia.

Dr Kassim who is also the Special Adviser on Political Affairs to the Governor of Nasarawa State, Abdullahi Sule, commended the President for signing the anthem into law, noting that the Nigerian youths were happy with the speedy assent.

According to him, the lyrics of of the reverted old Anthem is more encompassing and make more meaning than the abolished one.

“As a matter of fact, the reverted National Anthem is better considering how meaningful it is.

“Kassim said,” But as leaders of tomorrow, we strongly appeal that the last sentence of the Anthem, “Nigeria may be blessed” be changed to either Nigeria shall be blessed or Nigeria must be blessed.

“Nigeria may be blessed did not give the youths or Nigerians an assured hope but a conditional hope. We should be certain about the future of our dear country.

“That is our passionate appeal to Mr President,”.

Dr Kassim applauded President Bola Tinubu for his sincerity of purpose, developmental strides and plan to bequeath a better Nigeria for the next generation.

He appealed to the President to make adequate use of each of the stanza of the anthem in his renewed hope agenda for Nigerians to serve as guide to future leaders.
