The Torch of Unity for the National Sports Festival has reached Taraba State on Tuesday, April 8, 2025.
Governor of Taraba state, Dr Agbu Kefas who received the torch from the officials of the National Sports Commission ahead of the forthcoming National Sports Festival
at the TY Danjuma House Jalingo assured of the continued support of his Administration for sports development in the State.
The Governor lauded the efforts of the officials in fostering National unity through sports and wished them well as they continued their activities.
Presenting the Torch of Unity to the Governor, the Leader of the delegation, Mrs Ikana Mbora said President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has officially flagged off the National Sports Festival, scheduled to hold in May 2025 in Abeokuta, Ogun State.
She explained that the Torch of Unity is what they used in creating awareness and further unity through sports adding that
by the presentation of the torch, Taraba State is officially invited to the festival.
