NCDC MD, Dr. Tsenyil engages Plateau tea manufacturing firm, seeks collaboration with local SMEs

The Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of the North Central Development Commission (NCDC), Dr. Cyril Yiltsen Tsenyil, has continued his strategic engagement with private sector actors across the North Central Zone with a working visit to Naruda Integrated Ltd, a tea manufacturing company located in Jos, Plateau State.

Naruda Integrated Ltd, wholly owned and managed by young entrepreneurs from Plateau State, is one of the emerging manufacturing enterprises contributing to local value addition, job creation, and economic empowerment.

Dr. Tsenyil’s visit was aimed at assessing the company’s operations, understanding its challenges, and exploring areas of collaboration to enhance productivity and scale.

He was received by the Managing Director, Ruby Petkwap Sallah, and the Director of Marketing, Brendan Sallah, who conducted him through the facility and briefed him on the production chain, sourcing of raw materials, market reach, and plans for expansion.

Dr. Tsenyil commended the founders for their innovation, resilience, and commitment to industrial growth within the State.

He emphasized that the North Central Development Commission is determined to support homegrown enterprises that demonstrate capacity to drive sustainable development.

He further explained that the visit forms part of a broader NCDC initiative to identify viable small and medium-scale enterprises across the region that can be integrated into the Commission’s empowerment, industrialization, and regional economic development programmes.

In her remarks, Managing Director of Naruda Integrated Ltd, Ruby Petkwap Sallah, expressed appreciation for the visit, noting that the presence of the NCDC MD/CEO was a strong morale boost to the company and its young workforce.

She highlighted the need for improved access to equipment finance, regulatory support, and market linkages to enable the company expand its production capacity and distribution reach.
