NCPC commences 2025 Main Pilgrimage to Israel, Jordan December 29

The Executive Secretary of the Nigerian Christian Pilgrim Commission (NCPC), Bishop Stephen Adegbite, announced that all arrangements have been finalized for the airlift of pilgrims to Israel and Jordan on 29 December, 2025.
Bishop Adegbite made the disclosure on 17 December during the Commission’s 2025 Christmas Carol held at the NCPC corporate headquarters in Abuja.
This was contained in a statement by Celestine Toruka, Deputy Director and Head, Media and Public Relations,Nigerian Christian Pilgrim Commission.
“The first batch of intending pilgrims will be airlifted from the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja,” he said.
He expressed confidence that the 2025 Main Pilgrimage Exercise would proceed smoothly, noting that ground handlers and the air carrier have assured the Commission of excellent service delivery.
In his exhortation, Bishop Adegbite highlighted the spiritual significance of the season: “Christmas brings a message of joy, hope, grace and good tidings. We have the best gift to mankind – the gift of Jesus Christ, who came to liberate humanity.”
He added that the festive period is a time of unending joy and urged staff and friends of the Commission to continue their “labour of love,” assuring them that their efforts would not be in vain. “You will rejoice; there will be something to celebrate in your family. Because you are serving God, you must rejoice.”
The NCPC boss thanked the staff for their resilience, hard work and dedication throughout the year and encouraged them to keep pressing forward, promising better days ahead.
Bishop Adegbite also expressed gratitude to President Bola Tinubu and the First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, for their unwavering support of Christian pilgrimage initiatives.
He affirmed Nigeria’s sovereignty, stating that no one can intimidate the nation, and expressed optimism that kidnapping and banditry would soon be eradicated, with their sponsors exposed.
