New FCT Jukun Wanu executives sworn in
A new executive council has been sworn in for the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) branch of the National Association of Jukun Wanu (NAJUWA) with Elder Eliya Akoshi as chairman.
The swearing in which took place on Sunday 1, February, 2026 was administered by Barrister Joel Luka Awoke, who is also the National President I of NAJUWA.
Other sworn in are Vice Chairman, Mohammed Ibrahim (Babsy), Secretary, Davidson Ataki, Assistant Secretary – George Agah, Treasurer, Lami Habila, Financial Secretary, James Wunuji and Assistant Financial Secretary, Talatu Victor.
The rest are PRO I, Solomon Eda, PRO II, Helen Gabriel and Provost Marshal, Sunny Basheru.
The new executives were elected on 9, November, 2025.

Outgone Chairman, Anthony Maliki, urged members to give the new executive the support to carry out its duties to the development of the association.
He, however, expressed worry that despite the large number of Jukun Wanu in the FCT, monthly meeting attendance is poor.
The executive led by Maliki had served two terms of four years.
In his speech, Elder Akoshi pointed out the new executives would count on the support of its members to provide good leadership.
