‎New FCT Jukun Wanu executives sworn in

‎A new executive council has been sworn in for the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) branch of the National Association of Jukun Wanu (NAJUWA) with Elder Eliya Akoshi as chairman.

‎The swearing in which took place on Sunday 1, February, 2026 was administered by Barrister Joel Luka Awoke, who is also the National President I of NAJUWA.

‎Other sworn in are Vice Chairman, Mohammed Ibrahim (Babsy), Secretary, Davidson Ataki, Assistant Secretary – George Agah, Treasurer, Lami Habila, Financial Secretary, James Wunuji and Assistant Financial Secretary, Talatu Victor.

‎The rest are PRO I, Solomon Eda, PRO II, Helen Gabriel and Provost Marshal, Sunny Basheru.

‎The new executives were elected on 9, November, 2025.

‎Outgone Chairman, Anthony Maliki, urged members to give the new executive the support to carry out its duties to the development of the association.

‎He, however, expressed worry that despite the large number of Jukun Wanu in the FCT, monthly meeting attendance is poor.

‎The executive led by Maliki had served two terms of four years.

‎In his speech, Elder Akoshi pointed out the new executives would count on the support of its members to provide good leadership.
