Newly inaugurated executive of Abuja Games Village pledges better security

The newly elected President of Games Village Residents’ Association Abuja (GVRAA), Engineer Bukola M. Adisa has pledged to improve on the security architecture for the estate.
He made the pledge in a speech after the new executive council was inaugurated to lead the association of one of Abuja’s best residential estates for the next two years.
“We believe in the saying that ‘Security is everyone’s business’ and we will task residents to take their security seriously,” he noted.
He said the new executive will introduce measures to curb and eliminate security breaches explaining that nocturnal activities after 11pm shall be checked, questioned and investigated.
“Security staff will be stopped from all sorts of mundane tasks and will focus on the work that they are employed to do. All nocturnal activities will be limited and monitored while there will be introduction of standard preventive maintenance of our aging facilities,” he explained.
Engineer Adisa encouraged residents to know their neighbours while zonal captains/leaders will be appointed in order to serve the estate better.


Besides, he said the new administration shall rely and explore government co-operation, support and patronages through the relevant MDAs with focus on some programmes and policies from time-to-time.


On welfare, Engineer Adisa said residents, especially children, will be given top priority as programmes to engage and educate children shall be introduced.
In addition, he pledged that children’s playground shall be revamped, and the estate’s swimming pool and mini golf course project will be revisited.

Other officials are Brigadier General Christiannah Thomas Ogundimu (rtd), Vice President, Engineer Ayodele Akintayo General Secretary, Alhaji Jibrin Manigi, Secretary Finance, Engineer Sarafadeen Olowu Secretary Utilities, Stella Nnodi Secretary Environment and Common Facilities, Mrs. Chioma Tamuno Bubalebara Secretary Welfare, Barrister Aondowase Jacob Secretary Legal and
Ewaoche Ameh Secretary Sports.
