The Executive Chairman of Nguru Local Government Area of Yobe State, Hon. Muhammadu Mairami, has commended Governor Mai Mala Buni for his administration’s giant strides in the agricultural sector.
The chairman who disclosed this to journalists shortly after the launching of
agriculture empowerment programme in Damaturu, by President Bola Tinubu.
According to him, “procurement and distribution of fertilizer, herbicides and pesticides at subsidized prices to farmers across the state, ensuring food security in the state in spite of the daunting challenges.”
He said that, the farmers were “indeed very proud to be associated with the giant strides”, and urged all farmers across the 17 councils to make good use of the implements given to them as they are assured of even greater support from the state government.
He added that, “let me tell you that, we will continue to express gratitude to Governor Buni, the Hon. Commissioner for Agriculture and indeed the State Government for all the support to the farmers in the State.
Mairami urged all farmers from his local government to make good use of this implements as we are assured of even greater support from the state government.
He also called on the people of the state, especially farmers to continue giving their support and maximum cooperation to the Governor Buni’s administration for the interest of the state, Nigerian at large.
