The Executive Secretary of the Nigerian Christian Pilgrim Commission, Rev. Dr. Yakubu Pam has said that our advocacy as Christians for a better Nigeria should go beyond religion.
He made this statement while receiving the delegation of The Father’s House Reality TV Project team in his office at the NCPC Corporate headquarters in Abuja, today, 31st, March, 2022.
Rev. Pam explained that the role of the mass media is very key and cannot be contested.
He charged Christians to be mindful of the programmes they watch and hear in the media, because according to him, “aside the positive impact of media in the society, the media has also polluted our well respected culture”.
He urged Nigerians to see beyond their faith, and hope for a new Nigeria.
In his words, “let us come together to solve the problem facing the country regardless of our faith, it is our duty to bring back our great culture”.
The NCPC Boss further urged his guests to make good use of their time and build their relationship back to God.
He commended the organizers of the Father’s House Reality TV show for their great initiative, “the programme is not only for Christians, but for all Nigerians”, he added.
Earlier, the leader of the delegation, Mr. David Ibrahim, said that him and his team were in the Commission to officially inform the Executive Secretary on their reality TV programmme for Christian youths, in his words,“ being a Christian base organization, it is imperative to visit and inform the Commission about the forth coming programme”.
Mr. Ibrahim hinted that, the Fathers House reality show is the first faith based reality TV show, he said the show will consist of 13 selected Christian youths from different denominations, harnessing the multi-dimensions of grace and confronting socio-economic challenges, according to him; “the programme is a 40days programme with over 200 million cumulative viewers”.
He appreciated the Executive Secretary for receiving them, and they promised not to disappoint Christians with the content of the programme.
