Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps in Kwara nabs man for alleged internet fraud

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, (NSCDC) says it has arrested a notorious internet fraudster who specializes in withdrawing money from people’s bank account after stealing their phones.
In a statement signed by the spokesman of the command Babawale Afolabi said ,the suspect, Charles Gabriel Purple a.k.a Pastor was picked up by a team of detectives at his hideout located around Offa road in Ilorin.
According to the statement the Intelligence and Investigations department received a missing phone complaint from one Buraimoh Sunmonnu Adebayo, who lives at Lagos Road, Sawmill area, in Ilorin .
According to him said that the complainant explained that after few hours of losing his phone the sum of 500,000 thousands naira was withdrawn from both his personal account and another company account where he is one of the signatories.
The statement noted that the suspect admitted to be a notorious internet fraudster , adding that he is in possession of the said missing phone.
He said that the suspect also admitted to have withdrawn the sum of N400,000 from two bank accounts of the complainant and N500,000 as claimed.
The statement said the suspect will be charged to court as soon as investigations are completed.
