The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) Adamawa/Taraba states Command has intercepted Premium Motor Spirit (PSM) worth N72,617,500 million at Adamawa State border.

Sequel to intelligence reports, the command in a swift action, intercepted PMS in jerry cans and drums, almost smuggled to neighbouring country.

Two weeks ago, the Nigeria Customs Service similarly seized PMS worth millions of naira.

Briefing the journalists in Yola, the Comptroller of the Adamawa/Taraba Area Command, Garba Bashir, revealed that the duty-paid value of the seized PMS amounts to over N72.6 million.

The Comptroller reaffirmed the service’s relentless crackdown on smuggling networks.
