The online voting for the governorship election in Nigeria conducted by Nigeriansdecides.com ended on Friday February 10, 2023 giving a clearer picture ahead of the March 11, 2023 actual election.
Some may say the online polls is just a social media activity that is by the way. They have their opinions.
But let’s look at who Nigeriansdecide.com are. According information from their website. “Nigeriansdecide.com is a United States of America based independent, non-profit and non-partisan opinion research think-tank, which conducts opinion polls, surveys, social research and evaluation studies at the intersection of democracy, governance, economic conditions and public life; in order to support better public policy, practice and advocacy in Nigeria.”
By this, it is real that they can’t be spending their hard-earned resources to conduct a survey that is a joke. They are a serious entity not to be toyed with.
Other aspects of Nigeriansdecide.com is that they conduct accurate opinion polls through deployment of reliable data, through early warning mechanisms, they identify the risks and advise where necessary, forecast political future by giving unmatched contextual insight and also conduct due diligence and give reliable reports. These are not misconceptions or fallacies.
In fact, there are reports that many political office candidates across the country have deployed all means including financial inducements to manipulate Nigeriansdecide.com to influence voting patterns but the organization declined not to dent their image. This is not far from what happened by some politicians in Taraba State but the governorship candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), Hon. Danladi Baido won the polls with 29,782 votes.

The rest are Gambo Abubakar Sadiq-AA 10, Bala Kabiru-BP 7, Ibrahim Sani-NRM-6, Umaru Danjuma-APP 4, Adda Gideon Wunuji-APM 2 and Umaru Danjuma-APP 1.
Yes, so what if Hon. Baido won the polls. First he won with a clear 4209 votes from the next candidate. It is a also a clarion call for Taraba State voters to come out in their large numbers to exercise their civic rights as election process put in place by INEC will be difficult to manipulate. As such, their votes will count. Another is they must not be bought over by money bags politicians as they will mortgage their future for peanuts.
Besides, Taraba voters should know that Hon. Baido is their best candidate as other parties are plagued by endless litigations as who is their candidate and must not be voted to office. This is a bad omen. They are desperadoes.
So, what if Hon. Baido won the online polls. He will go ahead and win the March 11, 2023 actual election to bring about peace and harmony, development, justice, unity for all across all sections.
The people of Taraba State have spoken and should speak louder for SDP’s Hon. Baido at the actual governorship election without intimidation.
