Nigeria’s First Lady Oluremi Tinubu officially launches distribution of northeast professional health kits

The wife of the President, Oluremi Tinubu has officially lunched the distribution of health kits including crocs and scrubs to midwives in the Northeastern Subregion of the country.
Distributing the kits at the Jolly Nyame Stadium, Jalingo, Senator Oluremi Tinubu noted that the initiative is to complement Federal Government commitments to training frontline health workers to strengthen the National healthcare system.
“Approximately 60,000 professional kits have been procured, with each zone of the country to be given 10,000 kits, Taraba State was selected to host the distribution in the Northeastern subregion,” Mrs.Tinubu explained.
She said the initiative is a collaborative efforts to enhance the Health Sector and reduce Infant and Maternal Mortality Rates across Nigeria and part of the health Agenda of the Renewed Hope Initiative and aimed specifically at supporting student midwives
The First Lady further announced a donation of N50 million to the wife of the of Taraba State Governor to assist 1,000 traders each with N50,000.
In his remarks, Governor of Taraba State, Dr. Agbu Kefas commended the First Lady for her generosity toward the Northeast region saying that the five-finger agenda of his Administration aligns with the Renewed Hope Initiative of the First Lady.
First Lady of Taraba State, Agyin Kefas described the donation as a significant milestone and assured that the professional kits would be utilized effectively.
The Minister of Health, Prof. Mohammed Ali Pate, and the Executive Director of the National Primary Health Care Development Agency, Dr. Muyi Aina acknowledged that the donation is a clear indication of the commitment of the First Lady in improving the Healthcare System in Nigeria that
is a key priority for the administration.of President Tinubu.
