Motorists and commuters can no longer use the Asaba-Kwale Road because of the collapse of the Ogwashi-Uku Bridge.
Our correspondent understands that the bridge was under construction.
The cause of the collapse is not known as the company officials failed to talk to our correspondent that visited the site of the collapsed bridge.
Mum was also the official message at the Delta State Ministry of Works.
Commuters are therefore advised in their own interest to use alternative route for those going to Kwale, Ozoro, Ughelli and Warri from Asaba.
The road is now totally closed to vehicular traffic.
It is not only those on foot and using bikes are allowed to cross the bridge.
Commuters and transporters now use the Agbor road to access Warri, Ughelli, Ozoro and Kwale.
Reports reaching our correspondent indicate the workers of the Chinese firm (CCECC) were making frantic effort to fix the collapsed bridge.
