The Senior Special Assistant to the Governor of Bauchi State on Christian Religious Affairs, Pastor (Dr.) Zakka Luka Magaji, has declared that no amount of falsehood, propaganda, or institutional abuse can diminish the records, reputation, or standing of the State Governor, Senator Bala Mohammed, either within the State or across the broader Nigeria’s political landscape.

The Governor’s aide made the declaration in a statement he issued on Sunday in reaction to the allegations of terrorism financing against the Governor by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), describing it as baseless and malicious.

The SSA categorically, unequivocally, and authoritatively refuted the allegations stressing that, it is a reckless and unfounded allegations insinuating that Senator Mohammed, sponsors banditry or any form of insecurity.

He stated that, “For the avoidance of doubt, at no time, under no circumstance, and on no conceivable ground has His Excellency, Sen. Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, in his tenure as Executive Governor of Bauchi State, sponsored, supported, encouraged, or condoned banditry, insecurity, or any form of criminality whatsoever.”

The SSA added that, “Such allegations are false, malicious, deliberately contrived, and intended to mislead the public while undermining lawful authority and public confidence.”

According to him, “On the contrary, Gov. Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed has consistently demonstrated decisive, lawful, and proactive leadership in matters of security, governance, and social stability.”

“His administration remains firmly committed to the protection of lives and property, the maintenance of public order, and the promotion of peace and unity across Bauchi State,” he added.

Magaji added that, “Furthermore, it is a matter of clear public record that Gov. Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed has governed with equity, fairness, and inclusiveness, doing right to Christians, indigenous communities, non-indigenous residents, tribal groups, and all citizens of Bauchi State without discrimination.”

He stressed that, “As the Senior Special Assistant on Christian Religious Affairs, this office maintains comprehensive records, documented engagements, and verifiable evidence of the Governor’s tangible achievements and sustained interventions within the Christian community across the State.

“It must also be stated clearly and without equivocation that His Excellency, Sen. Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, is a national asset, a politically relevant, widely respected, and seasoned statesman whose leadership commands credibility and influence far beyond the boundaries of Bauchi State,” he stressed.

According to him,”His principled commitment to democratic governance, national unity, security, and inclusive development has earned him enduring respect across political, religious, and ethnic divides within the Nigerian polity.”

The aide stated further that, “Regrettably, these admirable qualities have become a source of envy to certain individuals, including some who are themselves privileged occupants of high public offices, but who have developed a longstanding and well-known pattern of weaponizing institutions meant to uphold law and order for political mischief, disorder, misinformation, and personal vendetta, a track record that is neither recent nor obscure.”

According to him,”This office will not hesitate to openly, firmly, and decisively condemn such laughable, desperate, and ill-motivated fabrications. The attempt to malign the integrity, record, and standing of His Excellency is a failed strategy that cannot withstand truth, facts, performance, and the collective will of the people.” Magaji concluded, “Accordingly, this statement reaffirms total, unreserved, and unwavering support for His Excellency, Sen. Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, whose administration remains progressive, equitable, and firmly anchored on justice, unity, and responsible governance.”
