‘No recruitment in Kwara polytechnic’

The management of of Kwara State Polytechnic, Ilorin has dispelled rumour alleging that it has started secret recruitment of staff into the institution.

Debunking the allegation in a press release by the Registrar of the polytechnic, Mr. Kolawole Sheye Akande, and made available to Spear Gists in Ilorin, he said, “the attention of the Authority of the Kwara State Polytechnic, Ilorin has been drawn to the baseless rumour going round the public space that the institution has embarked on secret staff recruitment.”

He described “the rumored staff recruitment exercise as an unfounded, baseless and fictional allegation that cannot be corroborated with any iota of proof.”

He added that, “the Polytechnic would adhere strictly with existing due process if there is need for staff recruitment, which includes placement of vacancies advertisement, shortlisting of candidates and invitation for interview.”

The Registrar implored members of the general public to “discountenance and ignore the rumour,” describing it as “a figment of the imagination of unscrupulous elements, who are bent on dragging the enviable reputation of the institution and its able management into the mud.”
