The former personal assistant to President Muhammadu Buhari has denied that he has left the national ruling party, APC.
He disclosed that his membership of APC is not sacred but that it is presently undergoing a review.
In a statement, Okoi Obono-Obla said, “I am are studying alternative political platforms that will provide the springboard to realize our ambition to provide solid, accountable, and effective representative governance to my people.
“I am still a member of the APC. This is contrary to the rumor making the rounds in the political circuit and social media that I have resigned from APC.”
He stated that his name is listed as number one in the Ijiman Ward’s APC register in Yakurr LGA of Criss River State.
He said it is regrettable that the party does not have value for its members who have given all to build and sustain it.
